Chris and his family live in beautiful Evergreen, Colorado. Originally from Southern California, he graduated from Art Center College of Design with a BA degree in Illustration. There he studied with great artists such as Dan McCaw, Craig Nelson, Harry Carmean, Burne Hogarth, Phil Hays and Richard Bunkall. He has been a full-time illustrator since 1989, working on a wide variety of projects for editorial, advertising and corporate clients worldwide. His illustration work has been included in competitions by The Society of Illustrators, The Society of Publication Designers, Communication Arts and Print Regional Design Annual. Many of his originals hang in private collections around the country.
Some of his illustration clients include: AT&T, Verizon, Intel, First Data Corporation, Snapple, J P Morgan Chase, Forbes Magazine, Business Week Magazine, Times-Mirror, Strategic Finance Magazine, George Washington University, Golf Magazine, NOVA Corporation, Bankers Trust, Simon & Schuster and IBM.
After years of applying his creativity to the needs of corporate clients, recently Chris has been inspired to paint for himself. He feels pursuing fine art is his avenue to reach his personal potential as an artist. Living in Evergreen, just west of Denver in the foothills of the Rockies, has given him the opportunity to meet and work with some of the countries best fine artists. He's had the privilege to paint with and learn from the likes of Quang Ho, Ron Hicks, Robert Spooner, Dan Sprick and Johanna Harmon. Chris continues to study painting at the Art Students League of Denver. He is also a member of the Oil Painters of America and The American Impressionist Society. He says, " Finding what interests me about a subject, using the vocabulary I have as an artist to convey my feelings about it and leading the viewer through a painting to reach their own emotional response is a great challenge. I will spend the rest of my life working on it".
